A bit about me,
My name is Chris McQuillan and I’ve been extremely fortunate to have worked in the creative industry since graduating from University. Prior to studying animation and design my background was predominantly fine art – I loved to be creative, to draw, sketch, make. I wanted a new challenge and in doing so I found a creative sector that balanced both my creative and technical ability. I have been able to blend my creative and technical skills across a range of projects which I have proudly been involved in.
Throughout this journey I’ve had the pleasure of working across a wide and diverse range of projects and specialist areas of the creative industry that range from games, interactive, VR, projection mapping, TV Commercials, online promos, music videos, idents, branding and other associated digital creative projects.
I currently teach at Sunderland University working as Programme Lead for Animation and Games Art, alongside my visual practice within the creative industry. I have a vast range of experience and have the pleasure of working with a diverse range clients that include National Geographic, Audi, Mountain Dew, Bet365, 32RED, Barclaycard and Canon to name but a few. I balance my teaching and industry practice to provide students with an authentic lens into the creative industry as well as remaining current and embedded in the creative industry.
